Guestlist.ph founder and CEO Ron Baetiong recently got the nod to pitch to Silicon Valley execs through the ON3 Competition last July. His website allows users to choose the party they want and gain entrance through their mobile phones.

He believes that REPUBLIQ is the top dance club in the country, “REPUBLIQ is the best club because they bring in the best talent. They bring in topnotch talents like AVICI, the top 50 DJs in the world, LMFAO and Far East Movement. The Bassjackers is one of the up and coming DJ Duos.” The ambience and attention to detail is what has made REPUBLIQ and it’s home in Resort’s World a regular place for party people like Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Tim Yap.

The Bassjackers were also guest DJ’s for the launch sponsored by SMART last week announcing the partnership between Guestlist.ph and REPUBLIQ. The top club is now the first to use a new technology called eRSVP. Earlier this year, Tessa Prieto Valdes also became the official endorser of SMART Infinity.

SMART Communications has been one of the consistent partners for Guestlist.ph; “They’re basically supporting us not just on the sponsor side, since they know we can scale this they’ve been there for us. SMART has this program called IdeaSpace which is a start up funding incubator since they support us they want to help us out in giving business.”

Guestlist.ph and eRSVP have a unique marketing advantage, “They also know in their events they throw tons of money in advertising. But there’s no recall. There’s no call to action. You spend 2 million in one night, but can you engage that 2 million after the event? Can you actually talk to them and text to them? How many came and can you reward them? With our app you can because there’s a scan. Everything is recorded online.”

Guestlist.ph Co founder and COO Chris Fong explained, “The technology is a facebook app where you register to join Republiq’s party. It requires the user’s name, gender and mobile number. We will then send an alpha numeric code to the mobile number the user entered which becomes their VIP pass to skip the normal guest line.”

Baetiong insists that there are also safeguards against minors getting in the club and identity theft, “At the end of the day you still have to show your ID. And your ID will show your birthdate. If you don’t look 18 sorry you can’t go in the club. The management has the right to refuse entry. It’s part of the system.  We’ve covered all the bases”.

According to him, the choice of partnering with REPUBLIQ was made easier with the fact that it was in Resort’s World Manila, “Resort’s World is all about the experience. I’m just talking as a frequent goer. They’re harnessing the experience of the visitor. They have all the entertainment methods you can think of. You’ve got shopping, you’ve got casinos, you got a club, you got a bar, great food everywhere.”

The venue is perfect for tourists but you don’t have to be from out of town to stay there, “Plus if you stay in for too long they have hotels. You don’t have to go anywhere else.  You got too drunk? You know what just get a room.”

Guestlist.ph, eRSVP and REPUBLIQ altogether is an example of how technology develops to show the world the best of Filipino hospitality, “If there’s something that Filipinos love to do it’s celebrate and party. It’s in our DNA. Work is hard, partying should be easy.”
